Pay rate will be $16.54 per hour

Work schedule will be 6:30 to 9:30 am (part-time position, approximately 15 hours per week.

Easterseals Florida is seeking a dynamic, dedicated, and experienced individual to work as a Van Driver for our Palm Bay Adult Day Training program. The Van Driver will transport the clients in our Palm Bay Adult Day Training program to and from their residences and the program. The Van Driver must be a responsible, courteous and customer service focused individual. The Van Driver must ensure the safety of their passengers and adhere to all motor vehicle operation laws, policies and procedures at all times.

This is a part-time position working approximately 15 hours per week. The hours of work are scheduled from approximately 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday, however, this schedule may vary depending on demand, as well as coverage for other staff.

A snapshot of what you will be doing:

• Operate vehicles in a safe manner. Adhere to all motor vehicle operation laws at all times
• Ensure the safety of all passengers at all times
• Conduct and document pre and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
• Report all safety or vehicle repair needs to supervisor
• Treat all passengers with dignity and respect
• Assist in additional pick-ups and/or drop-offs of program participants as needed
• Maintain the cleanliness of Vehicles.
• Complete and submit daily passenger attendance/mileage logs

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Six months of related experience
• Excellent customer service skills
• Because you will be driving the organization's vehicles, you must be at least 21 years old
• Ability to meet our approved driver qualifications in order to drive your personal vehicle, as required, to drive to meetings and for other business-related needs (minimum age of 21 and good driving history)
• Availability to work flexible hours when needed
