Easter Seals Florida is Hiring a Non-Profit Grant Writer Near Beach, FL

Salary will be between $55,000 to $60,000 per year (based upon experience), plus insurance and time-off benefits

Easterseals Florida is looking for a passionate, organized, and detailed Grant Writer to join our programs team. The Program Grant Writer is responsible for researching grant opportunities to expand and support program services, completing LOI requirements, writing compelling grant proposals to acquire funding, and maintaining an up-to-date and accurate grant database.

This person can be located in the following Florida locations: Winter Park, Sorrento, Palm Bay, Tampa, West Palm Beach, or Jacksonville. This position requires limited travel to program sites and/or funder meetings.

A snapshot of what you'll do:

  • Study and understand the history, structure, objectives, programs, and financial needs of the organization
  • Research and identify grant opportunities from federal, state, local, foundation, and corporate grant opportunities that are compatible with the goals and objectives of Easterseals Florida
  • Draft grant proposals and supporting documents based on the funding requirements of the organization adhering to all directions and deadlines
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert for Grant database; maintain up to date and accurate records of all grant opportunities and submissions
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with grantees, community partners, fund providers, and other stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; and three to five years grant writing experience with successful outcomes and growth
  • Experience managing grant management software/databases
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to draft clear, compelling, and concise grant proposals and reports
  • Excellent time management, organization, and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
  • Customer-focused approach with exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
  • Knowledge of the local community and its needs is a plus
  • Ability to meet our approved driver qualifications in order to drive your personal vehicle, as required, to drive to program sites and/or funder meetings
