Job Summary

Pittsburgh, PA | Upper St Clair

• Start Date: ASAP 
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am to 4pm; Guaranteed 40 hours/week
• Hourly Rate: $26-30
• Children: 2 kids (3.5 years old & 7 months old)
• Paid Vacation: One week family’s choice, one week nanny’s choice, 3 sick/personal days, all major holidays

Responsibilities and Duties

• WHO/WHAT: Do you have a sarcastic sense of humor? How about a secret recipe for matzah balls? This easy-going, new-to-town family of four is looking for their first nanny to help in a hybrid role for at least the next two years. Your shifts will be Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4 pm although there’s some flexibility offered about start and end times. Currently in a short-term rental while house hunting, Mom works a hybrid role, both in a home office and out of the home, and Dad takes care of the kiddos full-time, so you’ll primarily partner with him to ensure the household runs smoothly. Sporty three-year-old big sister will be in school half of the day on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays, and you’ll help with her transportation using your own vehicle. That means you’ll have some one-on-one time caring for her adorably chunky baby brother. You’ll hold, comfort, feed, burp, change, and guide the seven-month-old’s naps. Big sis will join you while home from school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Ideally, the parents would love for someone to take both children on excursions and adventures on those Tuesdays and Thursdays, both to get them out of the house, and also for time to bond one-on-one, especially with the 3.5-year-old! They're hoping for someone that their little one can trust and grow a strong bond with. For this hybrid role, you’ll also assist with household chores when dad takes over with the kids. This includes cleaning and folding everyone’s laundry, tidying up, vacuuming, sweeping, washing bottles and dishes, restocking the nursery supplies, and meal prep. Dad likes to be involved with the day to day, so you'll be expected to build a relationship with him as your teammate. This will consist of a combination of building trust, collaborating on best practices, and balancing the household together. Additionally, you’ll score huge bonus points if you have a knack for cooking healthy recipes. There are a few allergies and sensitivities including seeds, eggs, dogs, and cats. Speaking of pets, there’s a newt but he’s more of the strong silent type and won’t need your care.
