Western Logistics is currently seeking a highly motivated Area Manager!
Basic Description:
A working West Coast Area manager must have experience managing lumpers, warehouse workers, training and writing SOPs, controlling work flow, invoicing clients, recruiting, some business development skills for new clients and lead generation, and up-selling of current clients, client relationship management skills. Travel is required.
Salary: Salary is based on experience.
Reporting to Vice President of Operations this position will be responsible for all aspects of warehousing including:
Recruiting for regions lumpers, warehouse workers, equipment operators, facility managers.
Business development of new accounts, upselling of existing accounts, manage and train lumpers, receiving, shipping, material handling, selecting, and inventory control.
Collaboration with other members of the supply chain, sales, and production teams is paramount to achieve these sales and service objectives.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE (Years/Type ):
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in warehouse supervisory/management role.
- Experience in the 3PL Industry
- Demonstrable team management skills.
- Highly computer literate, including extensive knowledge of Excel.
- Experience with OSHA and DOT regulations
