Until Filled The East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) is a public Career and Technical Education District (CTED) providing tuition-free career and technical education (CTE) programs to high school students – public, charter, and home-schooled – and tuition-based programs to adults who reside in 11 school districts in the East Valley of the Phoenix metropolitan area.
EVIT offers over 40 CTE programs at four centralized campuses. Centralized campus programs provide two to four hours of hands-on training every day and prepare students for professional certification and licensing exams. EVIT students who complete their training have a 98 percent high school graduation rate and 90 percent on average are in jobs related to their training, college or the military within a year. Two out of three EVIT students go on to college.
Applications are being accepted for the position of Foster Youth Services Coordinator with the East Valley Institute of Technology. The starting date is approximately August 31, 2022. The beginning salary range for this position is approximately $50,819-$66,847 dependent upon education and like experience. This is a full-time, 12 month position.
Job Summary:
Under general supervision, the Foster Youth Student Services Coordinator is responsible for the development and operation of the Foster Youth Services Program at EVIT; coordinates the development and implementation of the program while collaborating with various local, state and federal youth services agencies (i.e. DES, courts, schools, foster and group homes).
Training and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Three (3) or more years of professional or volunteer experience developing and delivering programs or projects related to foster youth, homeless, or child welfare services, providing support to school-aged children. Experience working with interagency councils supporting foster youth is preferred.
• Preference will be given to those with experience working with secondary age youth or young adults and with a working knowledge of vocational education programs.
• A combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of professional experience in foster youth, homeless, or child welfare services, providing support to school-aged children.

Licensing /Certification and Other Requirements:

• Valid Arizona Driver’s License
• Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Identity Verified Prints (IVP) fingerprint clearance card.
• Proof of immunization against or immunity to measles and rubella if born after January 1, 1957.
• The employee hired for this position will work a basic 40- hour workweek. Hours are typically 7:30am – 4:00pm. The employee may work evening hours attending advisory team meeting, career fairs, and other school-sponsored activities.
