Description
Job Summary:
The Director of Radiology Services provides leadership, supervision and coordinates department activities, ensuring safety to both patients and staff. Directs all human resource functions of the department with include; overseeing training and ensures staff competencies, ensures safe staffing levels. Develops and manages budget to meet department, organizational and patient safety goals and ensures regulatory compliance. The Director ensures ongoing monitoring of departmental indicators and PI activities, reports activities as directed.
Responsibilities:
a. Responds to staff request in a timely manner
b. Ensures accurate and timely communication
c. Is supportive of staff when dealing with conflicts involving other disciplines and services.
a. Determines staffing matrix
b. Posts open positions timely
c. Expedites screening and interviewing process
a. Determines standards of performance
b. Ensures staff is oriented to the hospital and department and performance meets
expectations.
c. Staff performance is accurately evaluated and staff evaluations are
completed annually and according to organizational timeframes.
d. Develops and follows through with employee development plan when opportunity for improvement is identified.
e. Promotes staff development
