East Hartford High School Program Leader – Graduation Coordinator Responsibilities Graduation is a significant step on the student journey, marking the transition to life beyond high school to alumni. The coordinator will take lead responsibility for the delivery of East Hartford High School’s graduation ceremonies on campus. Responsibilities include: managing the graduation ceremony, taking responsibility for student and guest management, internal and external suppliers, logistics, print and communications, management of Extended Graduation Team (approximately 40 staff including but not limited to: campus safety, behaviors managers, volunteer school pupils). Primary Duties:
Plan, develop, and project manage the delivery of graduation ceremonies
Develop and manage graduation communications with the Principal, Head of Building Operations, Information Technology Manager, Student Assessments, Special Education Supervisor, and Student Activities Coordinator
Work with internal and external service providers, to achieve best value and excellent service for graduation ceremonies and events (i.e., catering, print, design, decorations, venues, photography, and others as required)
Contribute to the development of operational workplans for graduation and events, planning activities to meet district strategic goals
Plan, monitor and manage the graduation budget, ensuring that all financial transactions are processed promptly and accurately
Ensure correct information is circulated to colleagues, students, parents and external audiences in a timely manner in the most appropriate format
Collaborate with the production of the graduation program and other materials, including final graduation list with appropriate honors and awards, content, design and print production
Develop and implement the use of appropriate social media channels
Secure participation from ceremony participants (i.e., Board of Education and Cabinet Members, Dignitaries, etc.)
Other duties, as required from time to time in line with the scope of the role
Stipend: EHEA B-1
The actions of this employee in relation to this position are completed beyond the regular teacher work day.
