ECU Department of Technology Systems in the College of Engineering and Technology is looking for several Undergraduate Student Assistant.
The Student Assistants will participate in a research project that focuses on building a comprehensive web application/database system for a government client. The undergraduate students will work with a project team. Based on their skill set, the students will be assigned to a selection of the tasks listed below:
-Software development using PHP, SQL (MariaDB), HTML5, JavaScript, CSS

-Database design

-Completing system documentation and user manuals

-Creating PowerPoint slide decks

-Communicating with end users of the system to get user feedback

-Designing software quality tests, conducting the tests, analyzing the results, and creating reports.

-Developing multimedia elements and integrating them into the software application

-Designing and developing the GUI elements for the system

-Assisting the team in project management

-Configuring hosting systems in a government approved cloud computing environment

-Deploying and maintaining cybersecurity best practice to the hosting systems

-Maintaining optimal operation of hosting systems

-Collecting and analyzing data of the web application and system operation
