POSITION TITLE: Data Analyst
BUILDING(S): TBD
CLASSIFICATION: Tier IIB
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 11 months. Monday-Friday: 8 hours/day.
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction,
Assessment and Grants
SALARY: Starting at $66,900/year commensurate with
credentials and experience
EVALUATION PROCEDURES: Evaluated annually by the supervisor or designee

Qualifications
  • Applicants must hold a Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution
of higher education or have higher coursework in statistics.
  • Experience using technology tools and data analysis.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Presentation and professional development skills required.
  • Organizational skills in the area of time, tasks, and resources.
  • Some experience using queries, data imports and extracts.
Job Description / Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with the leaders of the Curriculum and Instruction and
Teaching and Learning department, as well as other District administrators.
  • Share current research and best practices information with individuals and groups
(School Improvement teams, staff, administrators, board members, parents, and
community).
  • Participate in training focused on all District used data sources and data
platforms/assessments. Participate in training focused on student progress (growth
and attainment) to ensure compliance and data driven instruction.
  • Use multiple data sources and monitoring instruments on a weekly basis to
support buildings in school improvement.
  • Conduct training on multiple data sources and analyzing and synthesizing data
from multiple data/assessments used in the District.
  • Actively participate in developing and offering a variety of staff development
opportunities for individual teachers, grade level teams, departments, and small
groups within the District.
  • Assists in collecting and analyzing evaluation data.
  • Monitor, analyze, present, and report assessment data as it relates to staff/teacher
evaluation annually.
  • Monitor, analyze, present and report assessment data as it relates to multiple
content areas, grade levels, and multiple teams from local to state assessments, or
others as requested.
  • Participate in PLC meetings, Building Faculty Meetings, and other team meetings
to facilitate data discussions.
  • Assist with facilitation of building level meetings as requested.
  • Collaborate with multiple district departments as it relates to data and District
reports.
  • Assist and support administrators with the monitoring and implementation of the
district's curriculum and assessments in conjunction with the Assistant
Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction, Assessments, and Grants.
  • Monitors building level staff in their collection and use of data.
  • Responsible for the collection, recording and retrieval of data and works with
building principals to provide support to building staff as it relates to data.
  • Work collaboratively with building staff and District staff to help support
evidenced based data practices.
  • Prepares reports, presentations, and documentation as it relates to data and
assessments of all types.
  • Manipulate large sets of data that require attention to detail.
  • Participate in meetings, seminars, conferences and/or other trainings for the
purpose of being informed of new developments in working with data and
assessments.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem solving skills with the ability to communicate
effectively both orally and in writing on a one-to-one basis and with groups at all
levels of the organization.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
