Ear, Nose & Throat Center is Hiring a Medical Assistant Near Salt Lake, UT

About The Company:
The Eyelid Center of Utah is newer to the Wasatch Front. We work closely with an ENT Center as well. The Eyelid Center offers many cosmetic surgical procedures involving the eyes and face. We also offer a variety of injections as well.

We are looking for a hard-working individual with a happy personality who has passion and drive to work with our physician and patients. Someone who wants to learn and continue learning. Healthcare is always changing, and this person needs to evolve with us as we make the changes.

This would be a full-time position (35-40 hours) per week. Some days might be longer than others but overall, this person will not exceed 40 hours in a single week. Clinics run Monday-Friday. Hours vary between 7:30 am- 6:30 pm.

We have several locations: Salt Lake City, Heber and Draper.

Job Requirements:

  • This position is working directly with the physician. You will be responsible for the clinic and work directly with the doctor to deliver a high-quality patient experience.
  • Experience with surgery scheduling preferred.
  • Clinic locations vary depending on the day.
  • Set schedule typically, but always Monday-Friday.
  • You'd be responsible for coordinating the clinic, taking standardized photos, helping patients get scheduled for surgery and performing surgical procedures with the doctor.
  • You'd be responsible for clerical duties such as: entering in surgical requests for insurance verification, updating an excel spreadsheet, sending in surgical orders to various operating rooms and utilizing the EHR system to document phone communications with patients.
  • Maintain and sterilizing instruments.
  • Answering patient questions regarding procedures and post op care including providing patient education.
  • Communication is very important as you will need to work with the doctor and his aesthetic patient care coordinator to ensure high-quality patient care is achieved.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous MA experience preferred but not required.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Job Summary:

  • This is a full-time position (35-40 hours) per week.
  • Some days might be longer than others, but you will not exceed more than 40 hours in a single week.
  • Clinics run Monday-Friday
  • Hours vary between 07:00 am-6:00 pm

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Comfortable with technology. i.e.: computers, internet, EHR programs like AdvancedMD, Microsoft office, etc.
  • Someone who can type 45 wpm or more.
  • Must have critical thinking skills, social skills, genuine compassion and a lot of patience as we deal with various individuals on the daily.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in-person, email and writing. Grammar is very important for patient documentation.
