Eagle RailCar Services is Hiring an Estimator Near Washington, IN
Position Summary:
The Estimator prepares and provides accurate estimates for railcars by information gathered by the Car Inspector during his/her walk around inspection. This information along with photos is reviewed and data inputted into a Railcar RX database. Once data entered, the estimate is sent via email or customer data base and an approval is requested.
Responsibilities:
- · Understand Customer, AAR/FRA Requirements for estimating.
- · Create and submit estimates
- · Perform follow ups on approvals
- · Create work orders for shop
- · Build relationships with customer
- · Scan NDT forms and submit to customer
- · Prepare estimates for invoicing
Requirements:
- · Familiarity with financial and project management principles
- · In depth knowledge of the AAR Field Manual & M1002 Section C-III Specs For Tank
Cars
- · IT and Math ability with an analytical mindset
- · Proficient in relevant software
Qualities:
- · Communication and negotiation abilities
- · Thoroughness and reliability
- · Excellent organizational skills
Experience and Education:
- · High School Diploma or GED
- · 3-5 years’ experience as an estimator or similar position
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
