Job Overview:

The HR/Payroll Manager oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes. This role will support business needs and ensure the proper implementation of company strategy and objectives and be responsible for promoting corporate values and shaping a positive culture.

This is a hands-on position will also be responsible for the payroll process for the organization, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and payroll tax obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
• Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
• Manage the recruitment and selection process.
• Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
• Nurture a positive working environment.
• Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
• Maintain pay plan and benefits program.
• Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
• Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
• Manage the preparation and processing of weekly and biweekly payroll for employees.
• Ensure that all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
• Review and ensure the accuracy of approved timesheets; track and deduct all garnishments and other special payroll deductions.
• Handle the administration of the electronic timekeeping system. Setup each employee, validate programs, and adherence to company policies.
• Ensure all payroll information and records are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements.
• Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed.
• Manage and resolve issues relating to payroll production.
• Prepare relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
• Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned and required

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a HR/Payroll Manager or similar role.
• Solid understanding of payroll best practices.
• Proven experience in a payroll position in a fast-paced environment required.
• Strong knowledge of payroll software (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, Paycom).
• Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality.
• Fluency in Spanish a plus
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $85,000.00 per year
