The Software Developer Applications at the National Science Foundation will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications to support the agency's mission of advancing scientific research and innovation. This position will collaborate with NSF staff and researchers to understand their needs and develop custom software solutions to streamline processes, facilitate collaboration, and enhance productivity.

Responsibilities:

• Provides high-level expertise in developing complex SharePoint 2016 applications, SharePoint Online applications, as well as other platforms employed by NSF.
• Defines functional requirements based on business needs, produces and maintains detailed technical documentation, and provides user support on technical issues.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications to meet the specific requirements of NSF programs and initiatives. This includes writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Create and maintain documentation for software applications, including user manuals, technical specifications, and training materials. Provide training and support to NSF staff and users to ensure effective utilization of software tools and systems.

Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or other relevant discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of SharePoint development experience; and minimum of 3 years working in an agile software development environment.
• Demonstrated experience transitioning an agency or customer from SharePoint to Microsoft 365 or another software platform.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $101,500.00 - $106,500.00 per year
