Job Description:

The Senior Network Architect will conceptualize, design, and develop total system or product solutions for enterprise-wide information technology or engineering/manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:

• Lead recommendations that involve engineering development, integration, and interface design analysis, installation, integration, fielding and field analysis, operation, maintenance, and testing of FBI/IC communication systems and networks hardware and software.
• Supports the local, regional, and wide area networks (WANs), and FBI/IC communication systems and networks supporting voice, video, data, and imagery information.
• Review and analyze the existing network architecture and provide designs of current/modern WAN/MAN/LAN technologies.
• Recommends best practices such as Software Defined Network (SDN), Intent-based networking, and network segmentation protocols, etc., to improve the existing architecture and meet new networking requirements.
• Identify the need for routers, switches, and encryption devices to support enterprise services.
• Deliver service catalog items for automatically provisioning network configurations to deliver.
• Develop and maintain network architecture specifications and artifacts.
• Translate customer and organizational objectives and critical success factors into actionable business, organization, and technology strategies.
• Create IT plans based on an understanding of the customer's organization, strategic direction, technology context, and business needs.
• Lead and work in a collaborative effort to conceptualize total systems and product solutions.
• Architect, design, and develop integrated business or engineering systems and products to support the achievement of the customer's business goals.
• Leads others in the definition of project scope, plans, and deliverables including cost projections and proposed implementation dates.
• Control project requirements, scope, and change management issues.
• Assist leadership in determining tactical and strategic direction of the division/organization.
• Work with others to develop and propose new business and technical opportunities to leadership and the customer.
• Research, evaluate, and stay current on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies.

Required Experience:

• 10 years of Cisco experience.
• Experience with WAN/MAN/LAN technologies.
• Experience in business and a core technical service.
• Experience in designing telecommunications circuit specifications.

Education: (Preferred)

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

Clearance:

• Must be US Citizen with Active Top-Secret Clearance
