E F SAN JUAN is Hiring a Delivery Assistant Near Youngstown, FL

Summary:  
Delivers Company products and materials to customers by performing the following duties. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 
Assist with daily truck inspections in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements. Visually inspects vehicle components and checks fluid levels and completes check-off list. Documents any problems and submits repair notice to Logistics Manager. 
Reviews shipping manifests and verifies the quantity and type of each product to be shipped is loaded and properly secured. Corrects any errors or problems prior to departure. 
Reviews delivery instructions and directions, as needed, with Manager.
Co-pilot truck to deliver products to construction sites. Checks in with Site Superintendent, if available, to obtain receipt for delivery.
Unloads, inspects, and properly stores products at delivery site, and picks up any materials to be returned. Stacks materials inside structure in a clean, dry, and secure location. Covers components to protect from damage. Notifies Manager of any product damage that occurs.
Fuels and cleans vehicle as needed. Notifies Manager of needed service and repairs. 
Other Duties: 
Performs other duties as assigned. 
Supervisory Responsibilities: 
This position has no supervisory responsibilities. 
Qualifications:  
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Requires practical knowledge of standard transportation regulations, rules, operations, procedures, and standards to ensure the safe delivery and storage of Company products. Must have working knowledge of Company policies, safety procedures, and other guidelines to consistently comply with work rules. 
Must gain practical knowledge of stock and custom products. Must become able to identify Company products by type and wood species. 
Ability to learn to read and interpret documents such as work orders, shipping manifests, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Requires the ability to write routine reports and correspondence, such as delivery tickets, inspection and mileage logs, and other documents.
Ability to speak effectively with co-workers, customers, site personnel, and service/repair vendors. 
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must be able to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations such as calculating mileage, footage and dimensions. 
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. 
Must be able to work flexible and extended hours (overtime) as needed.
Requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Must demonstrate cooperative behaviors, assisting co-workers and customers as needed. 
Requires discretion and tact in dealing with sensitive and confidential matters.

The employee is frequently required to walk; sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Employee must have the ability to move freely throughout the community and walk on uneven surfaces.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. While making deliveries to construction sites, the employee is required to follow established safety procedures and wear hard hats, safety glasses, and other personal protective equipment that may be required.
