Job Description:

Role: Property Accountant

Location: Denver, CO

Job type: Full Time/Permanent

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for performing various accounting tasks and analysis for the full portfolio of real estate assets, and investment level entities within the corporate group.

Responsibilities:

· Generate monthly rent invoices and disseminate them to tenants.

· Receive, apply, and deposit monthly and quarterly rent and other miscellaneous cash receipts.

· Reconcile accounts receivable for assigned properties working closely with Property Management on delinquent accounts.

· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement packages.

· Manage the accounts payable process, including generating and making vendor payments and invoice approval and entry.

· Assist Property Management in the creation of annual budgets for each property, primarily entering fixed expenses such as debt, depreciation, and leasing expenses.

· Enter annual property budgets into the accounting system and prepare monthly budget vs. actual variance explanations.

· Responsible for the recording of key lease inputs in the accounting system.

· Assist property manager with preparation of the annual CAM reconciliations.

· Other job-related duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.

· 2 years of experience in real estate/property accounting.

· Strong working knowledge of real estate database and accounting software; specifically, Yardi and Sage programs.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe, with advanced Excel skills a plus.

· Detail oriented individual who is deadline driven, who can analyze and solve problems.

· Self-motivated and ability to work independently.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to differentiate between tasks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $58,926.43 - $70,965.16 per year
