Dynamic Workforce Solutions is Hiring a Retention specialist Near Omaha, NE

Job Title : Follow Up & Retention Specialist Reports to : Program Manager

Position Classification : Non-Exempt Office Location : Omaha, NE

Wage Range : $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Primary Objectives of Position : The Follow Up & Retention Specialist is responsible for ensuring that job seekers develop the lifelong tools that are needed to discover their skills, choose a career goal and effectively market themselves to potential employers.

Essential Job Functions :

  • Provides guidance and other assistance to help the participant maintain employment.
  • Enters data in automated data systems.
  • Identifies and removes barriers for employment and retention.
  • Documents case records and prepares reports.
  • Conducts employment seminars.
  • Provides individual consultation with customers on their needs and abilities.
  • Markets open positions sourced through Business Services team to program participants through Career Navigators and otherwise.
  • Completes follow-up activities directly with exited program participants and with employers.
  • Actively supports participant employability plans through coordination with Career Navigator.
  • Develops content for website and social media platforms.
  • Research, design and implement retention enhancement strategies and protocols.
  • Address the unique needs and barriers of participants and create and maintain an environment of inclusion for all participants by making referrals to appropriate workshops, assessments and internal programs while ensuring equitable access for all individuals regardless of needs or barriers.
  • Utilize Extreme Customer Service behaviors in all interactions with internal and external customers.

  • Physical Demands / Work Environment : Physical requirements include carrying / lifting up to 5 pounds, frequently; up to 10 pounds, regularly;
  • and up to 25 pounds, occasionally. Visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to drive an automobile and operate computer keyboard and basic office equipment;

subject to carrying, lifting, twisting and reaching to perform essential job functions. Working conditions are primarily in an office environment with occasional travel to other locations.

Required Competencies : Extreme Customer Service focus, learning orientation, communication proficiency, teamwork orientation, technical capacity

Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience. Experience : Three years relevant work experience.

Familiarity with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations required. Prefer knowledge of Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.

Skills / Abilities : Must possess strong data entry skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office products with the ability to use various software programs for correspondence, reports, statistical compilation, analysis and data base access.

Ability to gather information, analyze, articulate and present solutions for complex problems. Ability to work in a team environment and independently with minimal direction.

Excellent interpersonal skills and customer-service orientation. Strong oral and written communication skills.

Additional Requirements : Must have valid driver's license and adequate vehicle insurance coverage.
