DWF Wholesale Florists is Hiring a Warehouse Specialist Near Kent, WA

General Responsibilities

  • Supports and specializes in overall care and handling of warehouse and delivery operations.
  • Assists manager with the training of the warehouse utility and driver staff.
  • Complies with safety standards, 100% of the time.
  • Identifies and understands all flowers stocked in the cooler.
  • Ensures overall product quality.
  • Please note that this position may require occasional overtime hours based on business needs.

Warehouse Responsibilities

  • Assist fresh and hardgoods buyers in adjusting Purchase Orders as necessary.
  • Ensures fresh and hardgoods Purchase Orders are finalized within 24 hours of the vendor truck departing from the vendor location.
  • Ensures box labels for incoming trucks are printed 24 hours before the inbound truck arrives.
  • For weekend product arrivals, ensure box labels are printed by end of day Friday.
  • Assists in receiving of inventory as needed.
  • Reviews customer order allocations to ensure printing of “picking lists”, daily.
  • Assists in unpacking of product for the next day’s allocations. Helps ensure all processes that can be done for the next day are completed.
  • Documents order discrepancies on “picking lists” and coordinates with the buyer and/or manager for proper adjustment in Traze.
  • Assists in pulling customer orders as necessary.
  • Helps ensure completed customer orders are properly loaded into delivery vehicles and supports efforts for timely, accurate deliveries.
  • Reviews inventory (movement) adjustments as a dump, shrink or other adjustments.
  • Reviews product aging reports to help ensure product quality.
  • Assists in physical inventories and cycle counts.
  • Assists with maintaining and ordering packing supplies.
  • Assists with booking freight and handling of freight company vendor relationships.

Administrative Responsibilities (Back Up & Future)

  • Sends all inventory and other expense invoices to corporate.
  • Sends all vendor month-end vendor statements to corporate.
  • Sends completed and approved customer and vendor credits to corporate.
  • Tracks and files signed customer invoice copies (Proof of Delivery – POD) in customer files per branch requirements (e.g., Mass Market).
  • Prepares cash deposit and deposits in bank weekly. Sends deposit slips with cash sheets and customer invoices to corporate for posting.
  • Sends customer credit card receipts and settlement reports with copies of customer invoices to corporate for posting.
  • Deposits (scans) customer checks into bank (UMB), sends deposit report, copies of checks and customer invoices to corporate.
  • Matches gas receipts to fuel reports.
  • Reconciles petty cash, ensuring cash drawer balances weekly. Sends petty cash reconciliation to corporate.
  • Prepares a monthly FedEx mailing to corporate including manual checks and other correspondence as necessary.
  • Orders office supplies, as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
