Job Title: Real Estate Development Director

Summary Directs the real estate development activities of Dwelling Place (“DP”), including supervision of the real estate development, construction management, and community land trust staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities Supervises Multifamily Development and Single-Family Development (CLT). Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining staff; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Adaptability - Adapts to changes in the work environment; Manages competing demands; Changes approach or method to best fit the situation; Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
Initiative - Volunteers readily; Undertakes self-development activities; Seeks increased responsibilities; Takes independent actions and calculated risks; Looks for and takes advantage of opportunities; Asks for and offers help when needed.
Innovation - Displays original thinking and creativity; Meets challenges with resourcefulness; Generates suggestions for improving work; Develops innovative approaches and ideas; Presents ideas and information in a manner that gets others' attention.

While performing the duties of this position, the staff member is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions, such that might be found in vacant buildings or at construction sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
