Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Service Dispatcher to join our team. HVAC knowledge is a plus. The Service Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating and dispatching service technicians to customer locations, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery. The ideal candidate will have excellent phone etiquette, strong analytical skills, and experience in logistics and transportation management.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming service requests via phone or email and enter them into the system
-Billing and Account Receivable
- Analyze service requests to determine appropriate technician assignment based on skills, availability, and proximity to customer location
- Coordinate with service technicians to schedule appointments and dispatch them to customer sites
- Monitor technician progress and provide updates to customers as needed
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, including details of work performed, parts used, and time spent on each job
- Utilize phone systems and software applications
Experience:
- Previous experience as a dispatcher or in a similar role preferred
- Strong knowledge of logistics and transportation management processes
- Proficiency in data entry and using computer systems/software applications
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with shipping/receiving procedures is a plus
