Works as directed in a safe and efficient manner per industry standards and regulations.
Meets with Project Manager to go over specific job requirements.
Knows the system thoroughly, including details, application and processes.
Takes periodic inventory of materials during construction and notifies foreman, with enough lead time to make a make-up order.
Communicates effectively with Project Manager.
Consults with Project Manager and Foremen on issues with crew members concerning issues of misbehavior or other inappropriate behavior that could compromise safety, or the integrity of others employees and Kodiak.
Ensures proper care when in the use of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety practices.
Maintains adherence to company policies, safety standards and good housekeeping practices.
Supervisory Duties
Set an example for others and presenting oneself in a professional manner that is reflective of our company’s core values by performing all duties assigned in accordance with legal regulations and requirements
Hold Journeyman and Apprentice Roofers accountable for performance and quality of each project completed, ensuring they meet the company’s standards; ensures documentation is completed, and timely
Effectively manages employee performance by consistently providing constructive feedback, taking a collaborative approach to employee development, and administering necessary training including evaluations and performance improvement plans. Hold team accountable and ensure the Company’s core values and performance standards are met.
Manage labor audits and review staff scheduling to ensure efficiency
Manage employee attendance and tardiness for accountability, and to ensure appropriate staffing levels are obtained; run regular attendance reports and administer progressive disciplinary action, if necessary.
Monitor and consistently enforce all Meal Break and Rest Break policies for staff; review scheduling of meal breaks, ensure meal breaks are provided timely, and audit meal break time keeping for accuracy.
Communicate with staff on any on changes or updates to Company policies or procedures, and train accordingly.
Develop departmental training material based on current workforce skillset, manage training schedules, and forecast future training needs to meet Company goals.
