Position Overview:

Are you a high-energy individual with a wealth of experience in facilities maintenance? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Facilities Manager!

Perfection Industrial Finishing is looking for a skilled, reliable, and highly skilled Facilities Manager for our Tucson location! The hours for this position are flexible depending on the needs of the business related to production and preventative maintenance.

In this position, the Facilities Manager will be tasked with completing all processes related to facilities maintenance as detailed in the Preventative Maintenance (PM) schedule and through facilities planning special projects. The right candidate for this position will be a hands-on individual who can maintain all appropriate documentation in the PM schedule and maintenance department and performs the tasks as necessary.

The Facilities Manager will ensure that all facilities used in producing the company’s products and services are maintained properly and comply with local, state, and federal standards and building codes.

Ensure that all facilities have adequate electrical, water, natural gas, plumbing, and waste disposal components to support the company’s operation.

The Facilities Manager will maintain the functionality and reliability of the company’s fleet vehicles and trailers.

The right candidate for this position will have industrial electrical experience to work on high and low voltage control panels, temp controllers, motors, and exhaust systems.

Experience with pneumatic systems for compressor and inline maintenance is also preferred. Other tasks related to hydraulics (forklift) and general building maintenance may be assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment used in production processes including but not limited to plating equipment, compressors, ovens, evap systems, sand blast units, waste treatment, and other similar production equipment.
  • Conducts and administers preventative maintenance activities to extend the useful life of all company assets including machinery, equipment, vehicles, and support equipment.
  • Ensures full functionality and repair of all rolling stock including:
  • Trucks / Trailers / Forklifts / Pallet jacks / Carts
  • Setting up and maintaining the company’s security system to facilitate loss prevention activities.
  • Abide by the installation and/or relocation plans of infrastructure improvements, such as new equipment installations, computer cabling, appropriate power outlets, office equipment, computer workstations, communications equipment, and any other applicable equipment.
  • Conducts preventative maintenance activities to extend the useful life of all company assets including machinery, equipment, vehicles, and support equipment.
  • Participates in the company’s waste disposal process including residual material, waste, and scrap to minimize cost and improve material utilization.
  • Ensuring that repair and preventative maintenance programs conform to OSHA and ISO9001/AS9100 standards.
  • Aid in the maintenance of the fire suppression systems for all facilities used by the company including sparkler systems, fire extinguishers, and chemical retardants, and ensure employees are properly trained on their use when applicable.
  • Facilitate the timely installation and/or relocation of infrastructure improvements, including the creation of facility plans (where applicable), such as new equipment installations, computer cabling, appropriate power outlets, office equipment, computer workstations, communications equipment, and any other applicable equipment.

Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills, and excellent verbal and written skills when interacting with all departments and other managers.
  • Experience working on high and low voltage control panel systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills when interacting with other departments and managers. Bilingual a plus.
  • Maintain the fire suppression systems for all facilities used by the company including sparkler systems, fire extinguishers, and chemical retardants, and ensure employees are properly trained on their use.
  • Manage any external third-party vendors used in the maintenance and repair of company assets, either on or off site, including landscapers, painting and signage, parking lot maintenance and striping, equipment repairs, and vehicle maintenance as applicable.
  • Remain on call 24/7/365 to help troubleshoot machine problems and coordinate with direct reports and the Director of Operations regarding adjustments to the on-call schedule.

Requirements:

· Preferred: Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree.

  • Four (4) or more years of experience as a Maintenance or Facilities Supervisor in an industrial or production environment having over 20,000 square feet (required).
  • Six (6) or more years of experience as a Maintenance or Facilities Manager in an industrial finishing company with over 30,000 square feet with ISO9100/AS9100 certification (preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to perform facilities and equipment maintenance for an industrial finishing operation.
  • Thorough knowledge of ISO 9100/AS9100 quality management system requirements pertaining to facilities management.
  • Setting up and maintaining the company’s security system to facilitate loss prevention activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment used in metal and plastic finishing production.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair delivery trucks (both gas and diesel), trailers, and forklifts.
  • Ensuring full functionality and repairing all rolling stock including trucks, trailers, forklifts, pallet jacks, carts and other related equipment including implementation of a preventative maintenance program for delivery trucks.

Physical Requirements:

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to stand or kneel for prolonged periods of time when doing repairs and maintenance.

  • Must have a full range of body movements including use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects and bending, reaching, and crouching.
  • Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds with regularity.

· On-call 24/7/365

· Some travel required
