The Quick Lube Service Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. He or she also will oversee the work of any apprentice technician assigned to him/her.

Various responsibilities include:

• Applying lubricants to the moving parts of vehicle engines to prevent premature engine wear and ensure optimal engine performance.
• Performing vehicle inspections that include examining and testing multiple points of interest on the vehicle, and checking thoroughly for oil leaks. This includes checking all fluid levels in the vehicle, including windshield washing liquid.
• Performing tire rotation to ensure even tire wear.
• Checking vehicle tires and test the air pressure.
• Inspecting customers’ vehicles for oil leaks.
• Checking electrical components on vehicles, such as testing the horn and the lights
• Replacing filters in the engine, including air filters and oil filters.
• Making recommendations for additional servicing based on initial vehicle inspections.'
