Durham Academy is Hiring an Extended Day Support Teacher Near Durham, NC
Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Serve as a point of contact for students exhibiting emotional difficulties.
- Meet with students individually and in groups for social, emotional, and educational support.
- Ability to collaborate with DA’s Extended Day teachers, Learning Specialist, Counselors, and families.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A very high level of energy, creativity, flexibility, and sense of humor.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Extended Day Director.

Durham Academy is an independent, coeducational, college preparatory school serving students in grades Pre-kindergarten through 12. Enrollment for 2018-2019 school year is 1,228 students.
