DuPage County Health Department is Hiring a 988 Call Center Specialist - Day Shift Near Wheaton, IL
- Provides mental health and crisis intervention supports to individuals contacting the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline via phone, chat or text.
- Works collaboratively and engages individual contacting 988 to manage and de-escalate crises in the least invasive manner possible to ensure safety.
- Collaboratively develops and assists in implementation of crisis safety plans.
- Provides mental health referrals and linkages as appropriate during service provision.
- Offers and provides follow-up services to 988 utilizers presenting with suicide ideation.
- Maintains required training, licensure and/or certification
- Completion of required documentation within established timeframes
- Use of an Electronic Client Record, call management software, and chat/text management software.
- Demonstrates independent judgment
- Participates in emergency response activities as assigned
