SUMMARY: The General Utility Operator will work in any or all kiln and post-kiln operations as determined by the area supervisor based on the daily work-in-process and operational situations on the production floor. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: •Perform job functions by reading and following work specifications. •Sets up standard lots for tubular, discoidal, switch mode power supplies, patch antenna or other products per instructions indicated in work specifications. •Work with or around ceramics, solvents, dust, and liquid and solid metals. •Train and work where assigned and required (kiln operations, termination, ECM, banding, loading, plating, test, burn in and all other post kiln room operations). •Assist with engineering lots and samples as needed and directed by supervisor. •Report problems and out of specification conditions to shift supervisor for assistance as they occur. •Work very effectively on individual job assignments or as a member of a team. •Maintain a clean and safe work area. •Perform other duties or flex to other areas as required by supervisor. •Assist in the training of new operators when needed. MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: •High school diploma or equivalent OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: •Manual dexterity •Basic reading and comprehension •Be able to stand for long periods of time •Ability to tolerate work with or around ceramics, solvents, dust and liquid and solid metals WORK ENVIRONMENT: This is a manufacturing position.
