LAB RESEARCH ANALYST I
JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION:
Candidates with an MS degree in biology, biochemistry, physiology, or closely related field plus 3-5 years of experience in academic or industry research are preferred. Candidates with a BS degree and 5 years of laboratory research experience will also be considered.
Education/Training: | Work requires a bachelor's degree in botany, biology, zoology, psychology or other directly related scientific field. |

Experience: | Work requires two years of research experience. A related master's degree may offset required years of experience on a 1:1 basis, e.g., a two-year master's degree in lieu of two years of experience. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE |

Skills | Knowledge of and experience with basic biochemistry and cell biology techniques such as DNA and RNA isolation, PCR, qRT-PCR, gel electrophoresis, western blot analyses, enzymology, respirometry and/or cell culture is strongly preferred. Basic computing skills and experience with Excel software. Experience with data visualization software (e.g., Prism) and/or statistics (JMP) is desirable. Competencies in data analysis, data visualization and/or coding skills are highly desirable. Knowledge and experience with mass spectrometry will be considered favorably. The ability to enforce and adhere to strict safety requirements is essential. Must have strong communication and organizational skills. Must be detail-oriented, team-orientated, and adaptable to shifting priorities in a fast-paced work environment. Ability to multitask efficiently and work effectively in an interactive team environment. |
