Duininck Concrete is Hiring a Concrete Industry Management (CIM) Intern – Human Resources Near Willmar, MN

As a Human Resources Intern, you will work closely with our HR team to support various aspects of human resource management in the ready-mix concrete industry. This internship is designed to provide exposure to recruitment processes, employee relations, HR compliance, and other critical functions within HR. The ideal candidate will have a passion for HR, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to learn in a dynamic environment.

Responsible For:

  1. Recruitment and Onboarding:
    • Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.
    • Support the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
  2. Employee Relations:
    • Handle day-to-day employee inquiries and assist in resolving HR-related issues.
    • Contribute to the maintenance of positive employee relations through effective communication and support.
  3. HR Compliance:
    • Assist in maintaining HR records and ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
    • Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  4. Training and Development:
    • Assist in coordinating training sessions and development programs for employees.
    • Contribute to the identification of training needs and the creation of relevant programs.
  5. HR Projects:
    • Participate in HR projects as assigned, providing research and administrative support.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the HR department.

What we are looking for:

  • Currently enrolled in the Concrete Industry Management Program at South Dakota State University.
  • Familiarity with all commonly used computer software (MS OfficeSuite, etc.).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
