The impact you will have in this role:

Being a member of the Market & Liquidity Risk Management department, the Senior Assurance & Advisory Analyst will play a key role in supporting Financial Risk & Governance by participating in the review, discovery, crafting, metrics and presentation of applicable policies and procedures (and associated documents) through the Program Management. The Program is designed to improve and maintain alignment with operational activities such as practices, processes, and risk initiatives, as well as Clearing Agency Rules and relevant regulations. The Program involves owning the execution and delivery of documentation initiatives across Risk, including certain collaboration with other business units, such as Legal, Regulatory Relations, and Compliance. The improvement and ongoing alignment with operational activities requires continuous reassessment of the Clearing Agencies Rules, regulations, and risk management activities. 

Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • Query and discover activities (i.e., current practices and processes)
  • Understand FRG practices and processes including how these are conveyed and articulated in the Clearing Agency Rules and work with collaborators to explain rules and regulations and how they connect to DTCC practices and processes
  • Assist in identifying and recording observations and recommendations including potential improvement, deficiencies, as applicable, and present such to partners
  • Develop positive relationships with SMEs and provide guidance about cross-functional successes and leverageable leading practice/improvements
  • Research rule proposals, migration of risk activities, and related initiatives such as products, consultant engagements, examinations, and audits
  • Participate and remain informed about risk governance activities such as Annual Reviews, Important Notices, and Memoranda as presented to Committees
  • Understand and communicate cross-functional commonality and dependencies related to rules, regulations, and remediation, including tracking applicable metrics

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience; preferably risk compliance, law, or financial institutions
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent experience / relevant legal background

Talents Needed for Success: 

  • Demonstrated experience with risk analysis, operational practices and processes that translate into meaningful written descriptions and statements
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with partners to meet business objectives
