As an Associate Director of Kubernetes Services Design, you will lead a team responsible for continuous improvement of services offered by the Kubernetes platform as well as continuous outreach to Application Development teams for enhancing containerized applications. The team of SME’s have in-depth knowledge of Kubernetes, GitOps, and application architecture. Will also serve as a trusted coach and mentor. 

Your Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead the team of SME's responsible for application modernization by leading the container platform services design strategy.
  • Guide the team to successfully design and develop infrastructure and application changes and automation to support development-test-deployment process.
  • Work with partners to understand application creation and deployment pain points for remediation.
  • Develop and maintain a GitOps strategy for the Kubernetes platform.
  • Influence ecosystem partners for secrets management, observability, application standardization and new capabilities.
  • Encourage and accept positive change and influence others to adapt to change by demonstrating the execution of new concepts and ways of working
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills with a special emphasis on two-way communication - hearing feedback and articulating reasoning for changes
  • Demonstrate reliability and be accountable for completion of assigned projects, processes, and programs by taking vital actions to continuously meet required deadlines and goals
  • Be a critical thinker who can proactively identify potential application containerized process improvements by studying current practices and business functions, gathering information, evaluating output requirements, and designing modifications.
  • Mitigates risk by following established procedures and monitoring controls, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.

Talents Needed For Success:
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Additional Qualifications:
  • Solid understanding of Agile Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Deep understanding and hands-on experience with GitOps, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, AWS services.
  • Experience in creating, developing and leading teams responsible for running and troubleshooting application workloads in Kubernetes.
  • Methodical approach to troubleshooting typical DevOps issues.
  • The ideal candidate will have expertise applying true DevOps practices, infrastructure-as-code automation.
  • Highly motivated and adaptable in a fast-paced and dynamic working environment.
  • Experience with site reliability engineering, production systems, administration, network engineering, or cloud automation.
  • Strong organizational skills.
