About this Opportunity 
The Automation Enablement team is focused on building the capabilities of the DTCC community by promoting Orchestration and Automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevSecOps adoption with a goal of creating operating efficiencies, reducing risk, and improving client experience. 

The Principal DevSec Ops Engineer is an Orchestration and Automation team lead role and will focus on transforming our Infrastructure as code (IaC) and building and maintaining application environments through automation and orchestration. Additional responsibilities include managing orchestration and automation platforms and delivering self-service capabilities that enable the DTCC community and improve delivery times, maintain stability and resiliency of IT.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage a global team of orchestration and automation engineers and developers.
  • Perform yearly performance reviews for staff with quarterly performance check ins.
  • Evaluate requirements, design, and develop automated solutions that meet the needs of our customers with a focus on self-service automation.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities for existing automated solutions and implement enhancements.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities for team engagement, workload tracking, execution and collaboration.
  • Administration of our automation tools including but not limited to: user access, monitoring environment health, performing application upgrades, designing infrastructure to meet capacity, performance, and availability needs, providing knowledge transfer to level one support teams, opening support cases with vendor and escalation as needed. 
  • Identify pain points and inefficient processes and develop creative automated solutions to solve them.
  • Support resiliency initiatives and goals including scheduled enterprise level testing events and exercises.
  • Evaluate return on investment of automation opportunities to aid in prioritization.
  • Establish ways to measure the value our automated solutions will realize for our customers 
  • Promote the benefits of automation by contributing to communications outlining the value our solutions provide to the organization.

Talent Needed for Success: 

  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience managing and working with Orchestration and Automation platforms:
    • Ansible Automation Platform
    • Jenkins
    • HP Operations Orchestrator (HPOO) and/or HP Server Automation (HPSA)
    • vRealize Automation (vRA)
  • Strong knowledge of the Red Hat Linux Operating System
  • Experience with Infrastructure code languages
    • Linux Shell Scripting
    • Python
    • Ansible
    • Chef
    • Terraform
  • Experience working with AWS cloud services especially ec2 and RDS Aurora PostgreSQL
  • Experience using git for version control and working knowledge of gitflow
  • Good communication skills with the ability to present non-technical details to a technical audience
  • Experience using Scrum and Kanban to manage team initiatives with objective and key results driven projects and tasks
