dsstpublicschools is Hiring an Art/PE Teacher (2024-2025 School Year) Near Denver, CO

POSITION: Art/PE Teacher GRADE LEVEL: Hiring for Middle & High School positions LOCATION: Hiring at multiple locations. You can view the current openings at this link. SALARY: $58,000-$76,000 based on aligned years of experience up to 10 years. We also offer a relocation stipend for anyone joining us from 75 miles or more from Denver! STATUS: Full time school year, benefits eligible, exempt, in-person position (Denver, CO) START: First day of new staff training at the end of July. You can view the current School Year Calendar here. KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Support students who focus on Visual Arts Elective Pathway in creating a portfolio of work before graduation. Exhibit mastery and enthusiasm for the assigned academic subjects and classes Work closely and collaboratively with students, parents, and other teachers within the school and throughout the DSST network. Teach 3-5 classes a day of various lengths depending on the DSST campus and subject area. Use the network’s curriculum and standards to plan and implement targeted lessons and assessments for each student including differentiating for the needs of all learners. Keep an up-to-date gradebook for each class. Work to implement and master DSST Public Schools’ core instructional and culturally responsive and relevant teaching practices. Additional duties as assigned such as supporting student recruitment, running a small group advisory class, after school tutoring, etc. See many of our possible duties here.
