JJ Distributors https://jjdistributor.com/ is looking to hire a company controller to support their accounting functions. If you are looking for an opportunity to work with a growing company this could be the position for you.

Responsibilities

Plan and direct all accounting operational functions, manage the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems.

Facilitate activities, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll.

Ensure timely cash collection by driving the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques.

Capable of handling responsibilities beyond formal job duties

Complete and submit monthly financial reports.

Responsible the timely completion of month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis

Prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, daily cash management.

Research, plan and implement new software, systems, and other improvements, as needed.

Prepare and review monthly financial statements for multiple companies and review financial statements with ownership.

Assess, execute, and improve policies, procedures, controls, and most methodologies.

Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them monthly- Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred.

Command of general ledger

Qualifications

· Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued.

· BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another business-related field

· Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines.

· Deep understanding of Consolidated Financial Statements

· Foundational knowledge in month end closings

· Experience with cost accounting

· Comprehensive knowledge of budgeting

· Outstanding analytical, quantitative, and communication skills

· Outstanding technology, analytics experience required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
