Position information:We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team at Shangri La. As a DSP, you will provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a group home setting. DSP's interact directly with clients, and this position is an attractive option for people who are interested in healthcare as a career. Position Details: Status: Full Time and Part Time availableLocation: Multiple locations - many options for placement Shift: Day, Swing, and Nights available!Shift Options: 4, 8, or 10 hours (depending on availability and home needs)Starting wage: $19.18 an hour (Night shifts additional $.75 an hour and companion shift additional $.50 an hour)Wage Scale: $19.18 - $23.33 What You'll Do: Enrich and support the lives of our residents while maintaining a safe and healthy home environmentProvide compassionate care with respect and dignity while encouraging independence and self-careAssist with with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eatingMeal and snack preparation Light household duties Provide mobility and transfer assistance Administer medications Accompany clients to community outings and activities (fun day trips!)
