Procurement Manager/Exton, PA/On-Site
Responsibilities:
  • Leads the development, definition, and implementation of the Unit Procurement Plan for direct materials and services for the Exton Operations
  • Brings Functional Excellence to Sourcing and Purchasing in the Exton facility and position the Procurement discipline in the broader organization
  • Leads the Procurement team (Sourcing and Purchasing) in Exton by e.g. monitoring performance of the team, steering workload and priorities, driving progress on activities and projects, and ensuring compliance to applicable requirements (corporate, legal, regulatory, quality, etc.)
  • Is responsible for managing the Exton supplier base to ensure security of supply, compliance to quality and regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement on service, costs, OWC, and sustainability
  • Manages risks (quality, security of supply, business impact) in the area of procurement and translate these into mitigating sourcing actions
  • Leads Sourcing initiatives related to Innovation and Large Operational Projects (and Running Business if needed) in order to support business growth and create value through procurement
  • Together with the Supply Chain Director, define the Unit Procurement Plan, prioritize activities and projects, and determine Procurement Excellence initiatives to be executed
  • Accountable for supplier selection, performance, and (relation) management for the Exton direct Procurement area
  • Leads Sourcing initiatives with multi-functional Sourcing or Project teams
  • Co-approves agreements with suppliers conform defined authorizations (DOAP)
  • Reports out on progress and status to management
  • Represents Procurement in the Exton organization and in PMP, Business, or Large Operational Projects

You Bring:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or equivalent experience in Commerce/Procurement, Business Administration, and/or Supply Chain Management
  • 7 years’ experience in Sourcing and Purchasing roles in various business-to-business environments, also on a managerial level
  • Experience in the Medical Device (or pharma) industry
  • Recognized qualification in Purchasing along with people, project and change management experience
  • Project and portfolio management skills
  • Proven track record in strategic sourcing and building Procurement Excellence
  • SAP knowledge and skills
  • Ability to travel <20%
