Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO…

We value endless growth and learning, a team mentality, discipline and a positive attitude. The ideal candidate would possess:

• Manage the shop and leadership team. Responsible for providing and meeting daily budget goals.
• Maximize the shop’s financial potential. Understand and optimize your shop’s P&L.
• Coach and provide feedback as necessary for all team members, ensuring Drybar standards are being met at all times (hair quality and customer experience). Assign additional training if needed.
• Identify and develop talent: Partner with shop leadership team to engage creative and driven team members.
• Interview and select high quality candidates, ensuring candidates are a cultural fit and able to meet Drybar standards after thorough training.
• Take initiative to attract and recruit stylists locally. Develop relationships with local beauty schools.
• Provide vision for and lead from Drybar’s ten core values. Maintain the overall visual shop appearance per brand standards.

• Invest extra time in coaching high potential Stylists and Bartenders for future leadership roles in the organization.
• Protect yourself and your business. Resolve team member relations and customer issues ensuring the company is protected against liability with a mindfulness of shop morale and culture. Abide by HR policies in place and when in doubt ask for help.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU’LL NEED…

We want you to succeed in this position and will help coach you in refining your skills. The ideal candidate would possess:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
• Strong conceptual thinking. We want our team to be able to start projects off from an incredibly strong position and come up with unforeseen, clever concepts to move forward with a deep level of care about the quality of your work and how it reflects on your character is the Drybar way.
• Strong self-management practices with meticulous attention to detail. Be able to deliver a solid approach to consistent, development ready work.
• Honesty, Integrity & Fairness. Respect for individual ability, creativity and diversity.
• A natural inclination to be pro-active and take the lead in solving problems as you find them. A hunger for personal and professional growth.
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), discretion, professional openness, and other leadership skills needed to coordinate and facilitate healthy, well-organized teamwork.
• Having a sense of humor and being witty isn’t a bad thing either! Having enjoyment of work and life balance is key here at Drybar!

West Hollywood Assistant Managers have a guaranteed hourly wage starting at $25/hr along with tipped gratuity and possible commission.
