Driver FInders is Hiring an Inventory Manager Near Shakopee, MN

We are looking for a competent Inventory Manager to monitor and report on the company’s inventory. Your job is important since the efficient handling of the company’s products and supplies is critical for the attainment of business goals. A successful inventory manager is a reliable professional with excellent record-keeping abilities. They possess great attention to detail and a business mindset. The goal is to ensure that all business operations have adequate material to achieve their objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures
  • Inspect the levels of business supplies and raw material to identify shortages
  • Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers
  • Record daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory
  • Use software to monitor demand and document characteristics of inventory
  • Place orders to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus
  • Analyze data to anticipate future needs
  • Evaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships
  • Collaborate with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met

Minimum Qualifications

· Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

· Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) applications

· Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and customer service skills

· Strong verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with all levels of the organization from distribution hourly workers to upper management

· Ability to establish relationships with peers, customers, and vendors

· Ability to work within a union environment

· Proficient in WMS software utilization (WMi preferred)

· Ability to resolve conflict and facilitate group discussions

· Proven planning, organization, financial, and project management skills

· Work well under pressure

· Previous distribution center experience

· Forklift operating experience or certification preferred

· Strong leadership skills

· Ability to think and act as a business owner

· Must be a strong self-directed professional with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced demanding environment with the ability to multi-task, prioritize effectively, and change direction on short notice in an effective manner

· Must work well independently and in a team environment

· This position requires up to 25% travel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
