Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative

JOB DESCRIPTION

The inside sales/customer service representative will work cooperatively with sales and other functions of the company to increase sales from existing customers, develop new customers, and grow overall sales while increasing customer satisfaction. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

· Accurately process customer transactions; orders, quotes or returns

· Provide accurate information regarding availability of in-stock items

· Obtain accurate information from vendors on relating to shipment and delivery dates

· Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed

· Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely, professional manner

· Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions

· Recommend alternate products based on customer needs, cost, availability and/or specifications

· Educate customers about terminology, applications, features and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction

· Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any issues or concerns

· Fill prospect or customer requests for catalogs, information, or samples

· Manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with other team members

· Maintain proficiency in using personal computer, data entry terminal and other common office equipment and software

· Develop a strong industry, application, product, and customer knowledge

· Consistently follow all company policies and procedures

· Present a professional image at all times to customers, vendors, and team

QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree required; Business or Marketing degree preferred

· At least one year successful inside sales experience

· Able to initiate and demonstrate excellent selling skills and results

· Highly proficient level computer skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.

· Experience working with CRM and Accounting systems

· Able to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment

· Exceptional oral and written communication skills

· Excellent customer service skills

· Effective organization skills combined with detail and process-oriented mindset

· Excellent self and time management skills

· Highly energetic, self-starter; strong work ethic

· Positive attitude with high emotional intelligence

· Function independently and as a part of a team

· Able to develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and internal team

· Strong record tracking of work with various levels at every account

· Able to understand the client’s business needs and solve their problems.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE

The Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative will receive an attractive base salary, performance bonus, and benefits package which includes:

· Salary $60-70K (based on experience) with performance based bonuses

· Blue Cross Blue Shield group medical insurance; company contribution towards premium

· Simplified Employee Pension (SEP) IRA retirement savings plan

· Paid vacations and holidays
