The Hotel operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting times, and hours worked in a week.Open/close kitchen in absence of the Kitchen Manager as directedAdhere to all prepared written recipes for all menu itemsReport out of stock items to the Kitchen ManagerPrepare all sauces and all dishes for breakfast, lunch & dinner menus in accordance with seasonal pars and scheduled shiftPrepare all menu and featured items under the Kitchen Manager’s directionSupervise and assist dishwasher personnelPerform dinner set-up duties according to the Prep List scheduleMaintain health and sanitation standardsPerform closing/cleaning duties as directed by the Kitchen ManagerAttend all require meetingsOther duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESMust have a knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendorsAbility to scrupulously follow all Driftwood and Margaritaville policies and proceduresProjects and assignments are completed thoroughly, professionally, and with careAdjusts to high-pressure conditions and is open to changeAssumes responsibility for personal growth and developmentConducts him\herself (acts and dresses) professionally at all times; sets standards for all associatesUnderstands and communicates the Driftwood and Margaritaville missions and valuesExpresses ideas and conveys information clearly, effectively, and professionallyActively listens to othersConveys company information, decision, or problems to appropriate parties on a timely basisWorks to resolve disagreements and is respectful of peers and co-workersMust have knowledge of all hotel departments and functionsMust have of applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulationsHigh school education and relevant training and experience preferredAdditional language ability preferred PHYSICAL DEMANDSMinimum lifting and/or pulling of 40 pounds using proper lifting techniquesPushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterityIf weight exceeds 40 pounds, asking for assistance is requiredReading hearing, writing AGE REQUIREMENTSMust be at least 18 years of age or older. JOB TYPEFull Time PAY$17.00/hr
