Drift And Muse is looking for one floor manager to join our 4 person strong team. We are located on 101 Taylor Street. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and hard-working.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by welcoming guests, attending to their needs, and swiftly addressing any concerns or issues to enhance the overall dining experience.

Staff Management: Oversee and manage the front-of-house staff, including waitstaff, host/hostess, and bussers. This includes staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.

Table and Reservation Management: Efficiently manage table assignments, reservations, and walk-ins to ensure an even distribution of guests and a smooth dining flow.

Quality Assurance: Maintain diligent quality control standards for food and beverage service, presentation, and timeliness, in accordance with Drift and Muse’s guidelines.

Training and Development: Conduct comprehensive training for staff, ensuring they are well-versed in menu items, service standards, and customer interaction.

Inventory and Procurement: Manage inventory of dining supplies and liaise with suppliers for timely procurement of necessary items.

Conflict Resolution: Skillfully handle customer and staff conflicts, always seeking resolution in a positive and professional manner.

Health and Safety Compliance: Uphold strict adherence to health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and sanitary dining environment.

Sales and Revenue Growth: Implement strategies to increase revenue through upselling, promoting specials, and consistently delivering exceptional service.

Shift Management: Efficiently coordinate shift changes, breaks, and maintain optimal staffing levels, especially during peak hours.

Financial Accountability: Monitor cash handling, track daily sales, and adhere to budgetary guidelines set by the Drift and Muse ownership..

Feedback and Improvement: Solicit and analyze guest feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.

Communication and Collaboration: Foster open and effective communication with kitchen staff, as well as collaborate with the Chef, Sous Chef, and General Manager to ensure a cohesive restaurant operation.

Event Coordination: Assist in planning and managing special events and private parties held within Drift and Muse.

Policy Adherence: Ensure that all staff members strictly adhere to Drift and Muse’s policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role in the restaurant industry.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of food and beverage service, including menu items and wine selections.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and quality control standards.
  • Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and restaurant management software.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
