Main Purpose of Job :

The Asset Mover will move and refurbish inventory, including cleaning, decaling and placing DGIC freezer equipment at customer locations.

The position loads and unloads equipment from trucks, organizes, and replenishes stock, accurately selects, and loads freezers to support the demand of daily sales orders in a safe and efficient manner.

This position requires driving to DGIC customers in a company vehicle so knowledge and compliance with Department of Transportation ( DOT ) standards is mandatory.

Role and Activity

Deliver Freezers to customer locations. Communicate with customers by name during deliveries, and exhibit a professional, polite and assertive demeanor.

Respond to customer requests, and forward customer requests on to sales representative or management as needed.

• Clean and refurbish used freezer equipment. Perform clean-upduties in warehouse and yard areas.
• Ensure that all freezers, materials, and supplies are properly received, inspected, stored, and loaded in compliance with warehouse principles.

Optimize the loading of the carrying aid and use optimal handling technique to maximize productivity. Accurately complete placement contracts in a neat, and legible manner.

• Complete scheduled freezer equipment inventories at company and distributor warehouse locations, as well as at accounts to validate equipment is at the correct location and product assortment is in compliance.
• Conduct activities in a safe manner, follow corporate safety guidelines and requirements (no cell phones while driving, pre-trip / post-trip inspections, proper bending, , use personal protective equipment, proactively address any unsafe conditions observed and lock vehicle.
• Demonstrate Defensive Driving skills including, but not limited to, proper following distance, proper eye lead, proper stopping distance, checking intersections, using safety wedge, proper use of horn, left / right turn execution, seat belt use, checking and scanning mirrors, maintaining proper speed, proper lane observance, parking in appropriate locations and avoiding backing-up.

Incumbent must be in compliance with DOT standards and follow all DOT policies and processes. Keep a clean and orderly cab and trailer.

Qualifications

• Warehouse experience highly preferred, including inventory management, forklift knowledge, and lifting experience
• 1 year of customer service experience
• Experience with the Microsoft Suite
• Decaling experience is helpful but not mandatory
• Truck driving experience is helpful but not mandatory

• The pay scale for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets;

experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The pay scale disclosed below has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

The pay rate for prospective employees in this role is between $20 / hour.
