Summary
Join us for an incredible opportunity to join our Dream Downtown Sales team as our Task Force Seller with an operational focus on our Leisure, Business and Group Travel Markets!
This position is a business travel/leisure travel Salesperson who has demonstrated through performance a thorough understanding and competence in sales, account management functions and the hotel/business travel industry. Responsibilities include selling guest rooms and Hyatt services to transient market customers through corporate accounts, travel agencies, individual travel, and wholesale groups. Duties include managing current accounts, ensure proper solicitation of all transient markets, and may include travel to major cities within market.
Responsibilities include:
  • Selling guest rooms and other Hyatt services to customer groups.
  • Managing Corporate, Luxury and Leisure accounts.
  • Conducting site inspections and Targeted Client Entertainment.
  • Soliciting and Generating business for Dream Downtown.
Duties may also include preparing and presenting effective proposals for group customers, maintaining well organized documentation and reports, utilizing Hyatt systems and coordinating customer service requirements as appropriate. This Temporary Task Force position will also participate in Weekly Sales and Strategy Meetings.
This leader is expected to work as a team member with the sales staff and is in close contact with assigned support staff.
The salary range for this position is $90-$110K.
Benefits: Temporary Taskforce positions are not eligible for benefits package.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of previous progressive hotel sales experience. College course work in related field helpful.
  • In-depth NYC market knowledge strongly preferred.
  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be proficient in general computer knowledge including: Lanyon, Agnecy360 and Opera Cloud.
  • Has completed selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills training.
  • Ability to work independently as part of a team.
  • Community involvement and/or professional association is highly regarded.
  • Strong relationships and client base within the Luxury Leisure market highly desired.
  • Experience in a lifestyle or luxury boutique hotel is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, sales and negotiating skills with an established history of driving results.
  • Outstanding customer relations, communication, presentation, and organizational skills are of utmost importance.
  • Must possess the following strengths: high energy, results driven, passion, motivational leader, effective and open communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service.
  • Refined verbal, written, and presentation skills in English.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
  • Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Dream Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
  • Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Must be solution oriented, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
  • Must be able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Perform other duties and special projects on a case by case basis.
