Responsibilities An ambitions and resourceful professional is needed to assist in designing manufacturability into emerging systems and build the supply chain for the next generation of strategic-grade guidance systems. Will work in lock step with design teams to shape the technology path along with the supply chain that will make the next generation, cutting-edge systems a reality. Should have the requisite technical background to understand the underlying technology of strategic sensors and guidance systems and the inherent manufacturing challenges therein. Must be an independent, self-starter who is willing to collaborate closely with internal design teams, forge new external business relationships and travel as needed to make those relationships a success. Must have experience in a relevant R&D environment and developing and qualifying vendors in volume production environments. Defense and Semiconductor industry experience preferred. Qualifications * Experience utilizing DFx concepts in a prototype and production environment (Design for Manufacturability (DfM), Design for Cost/Procurement (DfC/DfP), Design for Assembly (DfA) and Design for Testability (DfT)) * Mechanical Engineer or Manufacturing engineering background with experience/understanding of various materials and how that can impact manufacturability on high precision, tight tolerance parts, systems, and assemblies. Experience with precision mechanical instruments preferred. * Experience with developing supplier relationships, and establishing new suppliers to DoD programs, contracting/NDA strategies, cybersecurity, handling of CUI/classified information * Understanding of quality requirements and specifications needed for suppliers to meet necessary requirements * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or similar * 5 years developing vendors and manufacturing supply chain in a high technology field Applicants selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance. #LI-MM1 #LI-hybrid
