The Senior Leasing Agent’s responsibilities may vary slightly based on location; however, strong communication skills and a personable demeanor are key factors to success. The ability to multi-task and be adaptive to changing responsibilities while maintaining a positive attitude are also crucial.

Responsibilities

• Complies with local and federal Fair Housing Standards
• Touring prospects and leasing apartments
• Responsible for updating resident databases
• Manage lead database and respond to all inquiries and leads from both prospects and residents
• Process applications
• Conducts inspections of vacant apartments
• Train other site team or Leasing Agents
• Serve as a leader on leasing processes within the property
• Maintain expert level knowledge of comps and the market
• Participate and present (when asked) in leasing/marketing meetings
• Maintain positive relationships and network with area brokers/locators
• Complete weekly and monthly leasing/traffic reporting when needed
• Facilitate the move-in process for all residents

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in sales and customer service, previous leasing experience required
• Illinois leasing license or ability to obtain within 120 days from date of hire
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
• Yardi experience preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Approachable and friendly demeanor
• Strong time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to work with all levels of employees
