We are currently seeking a Surfacing Manager to join our team. As the Surfacing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the surfacing operations in our optical lab to ensure the production of high-quality lenses that meet customer specifications. This position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to excellence.

The Role:

As the Surfacing Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

• Manage the daily operations of the surfacing department.
• Manage the training, development, and safety of a team of lab personnel
• Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of surfacing equipment to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Train and mentor surfacing technicians to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and quality standards.
• Monitor and analyze surfacing performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement process enhancements.
• Collaborate with the lab director and other department managers to optimize workflow and achieve overall operational goals.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in surfacing technology, recommending and implementing upgrades as necessary.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment, enforcing compliance with safety regulations and best practices.
• Evaluate and improve upon procedures to ensure a high quality product with little variance in output.
