SummaryDPS Group is seeking an Industrial Project Manager with Life Science project experience to be on-site in the greater Richmond, VA area. Successful candidates will have Project Management experience on project valued at $50 million or larger and supporting project teams with the overall direction and completion of construction. The ideal candidate will have industrial experience with a mechanical and electrical background.
Responsibilities- Responsible for leading project teams and communicating with owners, architects and subcontractors related to project risk, timetables, costs/budgets, and change management.
- Review and perform constructability and coordination reviews.
- Responsible for pre-construction planning, scheduling, and cost control.
- Lead with a safety and quality mindset on jobsite.
- Manage the project using established project controls and procedures.
- Determine the sub-contracting strategy for the project and preparing front-end documents and bid processes under various project delivery models.
- Prepare monthly reports including cost, schedule, safety, cash flow, etc. for internal and/or external use.
- Create and execute contingency plans for potential risks, expanding contractual services and project profit.
Skills and Qualifications- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
- Ability to be full-time onsite in Petersburg, VA.
- 5-10 years of Project Management experience on projects valued at $50 million or larger.
- Industrial experience preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical, and Piping.
- Background in process piping and in instrumental and electrical preferred.
- Strong technical and communication skills are critical.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Knowledge of Procore, Microsoft Office (preferred).
- Ability to provide legal US work authorization documents required. Will consider US domestic travelers and relocation.
