DPI is Hiring a Quality Inspector Near Hatboro, PA

Summary:
Perform first article, in-process, and final inspection. Read and analyze blueprints, quality documents, and manuals, and verify measurements and other specifications to plans.
Essential Functions:
  • First article, in-process, and final inspection prior to shipment ensuring parts meet specified tolerances.
  • Generate spreadsheets for data collection.
  • Generate first article inspection reports.
  • Report findings to machine set-up personnel and operators.
  • Always comply with company safety rules.
Competencies:
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical requirements.
  • Ability to work in both English and Metric units of measure.
  • Full understanding and ability to measure to Geometric Tolerance requirements.
  • Ability to use inspection tools including but not limited to CMM, optical comparator, microscope, surface roughness tester, hand tools, and thread plug and ring gauges.
  • Ability to clearly convey findings to shop floor personnel.
  • Ability to perform shop math, including trigonometry.
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Proven ability to successfully multi-task in a fast-paced, high throughput environment.
Required Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience as a quality inspector.
  • Ability to fluently read and write English and comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Proficient using a PC in a Windows environment.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular, Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality management system.
  • Ability to calibrate thread plug and ring gauges, calipers, micrometers and other hand tools.
Physical Demands:
The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, and walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Day to day parts are small to medium size weighing less than 15 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
Monday through Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm. Occasional overtime to meet workload requirements.
Other Duties
Additional duties or responsibilities as required by management.
Job Type: Full-time.
