Downtown Bowling Green is looking for a groundskeeper to help maintain the historic downtown. This job has flexible hours and is perfect for someone who is retired and needs something to do or someone who needs extra cash. This position greatly benefits the downtown community.

Hours: This is a part-time position and the days and hours vary according to the specific need of the organization. In general, work hours are two hours a day Monday-Thursday. The hours have flexibility upon communication with the director. There can be seasonal variations based on adequate daylight to perform work.

Responsibilities: This position is responsible for helping improve our districts appearance.

Specific job duties include:

· Removing litter, including but not limited to cigarette butts and trash from sidewalks, planters, parking lots, dumpster enclosures, and other designated public areas in the district.

· Regular removal of leaves from sidewalks and designated areas in the district in the fall.

· Limited assistance with snow and ice removal as needed during the winter months.

· Maintenance of downtown holiday decorations during the season.

· Reporting vandalism incidents as directed by supervisors.

· Weed Control

· Other tasks as assigned.

Occasionally, the incumbent may be required to lift items up to 40 lbs. This is an outdoor job that sometimes requires working in extreme temperatures.'
