Downeast Cider
Downeast Cider is the #1 craft hard cider brand in New England and #2 hard cider in the country. Our first batches of unfiltered cider were fermented in the dorms of Bates College, Maine. We're now a team of 100, with new roles opening across all departments.
We produce, package, and ship our products at the cider house in East Boston, which is also the location of our office, taproom, and seasonal outdoor bar.

Popup Bartender Ambassador
If you're interested in bartending in a brand new pop up, outdoors, in the summer, surrounded by cool people, then you should apply for this job.
Downeast Pop-Up season starts in May and continues through October. Seasonal Pop-Up staff operate our various outdoor pop-up bars with the potential to move into a year-round part time position in the Cider House and taproom during the off-season (depending on staffing needs at that time). Staff work together at all locations to create a top tier experience for our customers.

Responsibilities
Serve cider, answer questions about the product, and engage with customers
Make everyone's experience one they won't forget - we really mean it
Ensuring that the pop-up space is kept clean and organized
Availability requirements:
Must have a minimum availability of 3 shifts per week including at least 1 weekend day.

Must be able to commit to working at least 12 hours (or 2 shifts per week)

Must be able to work at any of our pop-up locations

Availability must be in line with our Pop-Up Hours (hours vary, but these are the earliest/latest times):
Mon - Fri: 4 PM - 11 PM
Sat - Sun: 10:30 AM - 11 PM
Must be consistently available with no major availability changes throughout May - October season

Other Requirements:
21 TIPS certified (or willing to be TIPS certified)
1 years in customer service role
Able to lift, carry, push/pull at least 60lbsResponsible and reliable

Able to adapt to unexpected changes in work pace and environment

Self-Starter, initiative taker
Flexibility in locations (preferences can be made but candidate can ideally work in any Boston pop-up location)Must have great energy

Compensation
$9 per hour tips, with a guarantee of at least $17/hr
