DOUGLAS MANUFACTURING is Hiring a REGIONAL SALES MANAGER - TX, AR, OK, MO, KS, LA Near Houston, TX

Regional Sales Manager

We are seeking a regional sales manager to lead and grow our sales in the Mid West and Southern parts of the United States. You will be responsible for setting and achieving sales goals, developing and executing sales plans, working with Manufacturers' Representative, and calling on Distributors, OEMs, and end users.

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in sales management, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a strong understanding of the market and customer needs. You must live in the territory, and you should also be able to travel frequently in the assigned territory.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement regional sales plans and quotas in alignment with the company’s objectives and vision
  • Support, coach, and motivate manufacturer representatives to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales goals.
  • Evaluate and monitor the territory's performance and provide feedback and a plan of action.
  • Analyze sales data, market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities, and identify opportunities and challenges for sales growth
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key customers and accounts, and ensure their satisfaction and loyalty
  • Collaborate with other regional sales managers and management to share best practices, insights, and ideas
  • Manage the sales budget and expenses for the region, and ensure compliance with the company’s policies and standards

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, business administration, marketing, or a related field
  • Proven work experience as a regional sales manager, area manager, or similar sales role.
  • Demonstrated ability to set and achieve sales goals, and to develop and execute effective sales strategies and plans
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills
  • Proficient in MS Office, CRM software, and sales analytics tools
  • Ability to travel frequently within the region, and occasionally to other regions or headquarters
  • Knowledge of the Mid West and Southern parts of the United States region market, customer preferences, and industry trend

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, work in high precarious places, and in extreme heat and cold (non-weather). The employee is frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Specific hearing abilities required by this job include the ability to hear customers.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B.S) or preferred 5-7 years related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Training, Certifications, Licenses

Valid State Driver’s License.

Protective Equipment

Safety glasses, steel toe boots, hard hat, and earplugs.
